Awareness Tips While Celebrating the 4th of July

Remember when you celebrate the 4th of July to be mindful of your single-use plastic usage, as well as the environmental damage caused by cigarette butts. Did you know that the 5th of July is one of the busiest days for volunteers picking up litter? Sadly, July 5th is marked by massive amounts of litter due to 4th of July celebrations. Thankfully, volunteers will be out in full force on July 5th to pick up litter found on our oceans, our waterways, and all points in between. Let's make it easier for volunteers by doing our part and recycle or throw away our trash.

It's pretty simple rule to follow. Try to use reusable items including cups, plates, flatware, napkins, decorations, cloth bags, and reusable water bottles . Make sure whatever you take with you that isn't reusable is disposed in a recycle trash can or, if not recyclable, regular trash can. If you pack it in, pack it out!
