On September 23rd, Greta Thunberg gave a passionate speech at the UN Action Climate Summit. All this is proof that people are listening, and we need to continue to use our voices.

Calling All Creative Student Activists!
For those of you who have been following my blog, you know that I am a huge fan of Bow Seat and their incredible ocean advocacy programs for students throughout the world. I was so honored to be selected as Bow Seat's Gold Award winner for the 2018 Marine Debris Creative Advocacy Competition. Winning the award was a tremendous help as it provided me funds to continue to educate youth on single-use plastic pollution. The 2019 winners will be announced soon and I’m excited to read about the student activist awareness projects.
Bow Seat's new contest currently open is the 2020 Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Contest featuring art and creative communication for students ages 11 to 18. This year's theme is "Climate Hope: Transforming Crisis.” The amount of talent is unbelievable and very inspiring. Click here to see Bow Seat's Gallery of amazing student art.
